Lila's grandfather, Pete was wearing a special necklace.  Lila noticed it and said, "I like your necklace Papa Pete."

Pete seemed very flattered. "Aww, thanks, honey," he said.

Lila gave her mischievous smile and said, "I just kidding."

Santa

Christie mentioned to the girls that they're going to see Santa this weekend.  They were very excited.

Lila said, "I sit on Santa's lap."

"Yeah.  You'll sit on Santa's lap.  What will you ask him for Christmas?"

Lila thought about it for a minute, and then she said, "Cheerios."

Christie laughed and said, "That sounds good.  Do you want to ask him for anything else?"

Lila looked at her and said, "No."

Hopefully Santa can hook that up.

Silly

Lila ran into the room.  She had on only boots, a diaper and a big blue hat.

After prancing around for a while she said, "Am I silly, Momma?"

"Yes, you are," we confirmed.  "Very silly."

Lila seemed very glad to be considered silly.

So Sweet

Lila has recently been branching out and taking a few steps here and there, which we're glad to finally see.

This morning Lila pulled herself up to standing using a chair, while Violet came up to her to stand a few feet away.  Lila stepped away from the chair toward Violet, with her arms reaching out wide.  Two of Lila's Frankenstein steps later she stood belly to belly with Violet.  She put those arms around Violet and nuzzled her head into her neck.

I sat there and watched my two girls share a sweet hug, which Lila walked to get to.  Excellent.

FrankenLila

Lila took some steps today, three or four stiff-legged Frankenstein steps before plopping to her butt.  The exciting thing to see was that she seems to actually want to walk, which was a new wrinkle.  She had never seemed interested.  When she wanted to get somewhere, she would just crawl, which she did extremely well.  But, for the first time she looked like "Hey, this walking thing can get me there."
